Read All About Us - White Light Now On iPhone

Published in various editions over the last thirty years, White Light's paper Reference Guide has long been a standard source of information for all of those working in entertainment lighting, collecting together data about lights, rigging and access equipment, venues and more in one convenient, easy to carry location.

Now White Light are delighted to announce the White Light App - a new Reference Guide for those many people who now rarely carry paper catalogues, but always have their iPhone, iPod Touch (or, now, iPad) with them!

The Standard version of the White Light App launched on the first day of the ABTT Theatre Show, June 16th. Available free of charge, the App provides a comprehensive reference to White Light, including easy access to the company's contact information, news, portfolio of recent projects and details of both White Light's own products (including the award-winning Snow Machine and VSFX effects system), and the many product lines sold in the UK exclusively by White Light. The App also includes useful reference information about White Light's truck dimensions, about access equipment, about flightcase dimensions, about White Light's cable coding, and about standard colour filters. And it features useful information for finding venues - both West End theatres and others - including location maps.

The Standard version will be followed by a Pro version at the PLASA Show, September 12th 2010. This version will include all of the information in the standard White Light App, plus the comprehensive reference information about conventional and moving lights, control consoles, lamps and gobos, trussing, multicore wiring, dimmer and power distribution, health&safety documents and more - all the information available in the current paper White Light Reference Guide, and much more besides. Hopefully it will allow anyone using it to answer just about any question about lighting, rigging or access equipment.

The White Light Pro App will cost £4.99, with £1 of the sales price donated to the lighting charity Light Relief.
