Vacancies at White Light

General Vacancies
Currently we have a number of specific vacancies but we also welcome general applications as we are continuously looking for quality people to join White Light. Details of how to apply are at the end of this page.



HGV/Class 2 Driver (up to 32 Tonne)
Driver required to join the transport team working a Tuesday to Saturday week with varied starting and finishing times. There is also late night/early morning work with overtime available. Applicants must hold a UK Class 2 driver licence, a digital taco card and be able to drive up to 32T vehicles and experience of driving in London and the West End an advantage. The job will involve UK wide driving at times. We are looking for a good team player who is positive, flexible and professional and has good customer service skills.


Dispatch & Returns Assistant
The role would suit an individual with strong logistical and organisational skills within the lighting industry. Candidates will have experience of working within the lighting industry, as general warehouse experience will not be very relevant to the role. The role requires attention to detail; adherence to the procedures laid out within the Hire Processing System and a good understanding of the products we offer and good communication skills. Key duties include:
Ensure any damage to dispatch equipment is reported
Ensure accuracy of paperwork & procedures relevant to the dispatch of equipment
Ensure all returning equipment is correctly recorded & returned to the relevant department
Report any damage of returning equipment to the relevant team.


Moving Light & Control Workshop Manager
This role involves managing the day-to-day operation of the Moving Light & Control Workshops ensuring effeciency and quality control.

This role would suit an individual with proven technical skills within the lighting industry specifically with Moving Lights and associated systems. Good people management and interpersonal skills are required to manage a team of staff and liasae with other warehouse teams. A sound electrical and electronic knowledge is required as is a varied and extensive knowledge of moving light equipment, control systems, and their integration into a live production environment.

Operational responsibilities will include ensuring the preparation and despatch of all equipment in conjunction with other warehouse teams and managing the repair and maintenance of all ML&C equipment. Staff management responsibilities will include the management of a team of technicians so as to ensure max use of resources.


Financial Manager/Controller
Reporting directly to the Finance Director this role offers variety and considerable challenge for the successful candidate and will include the preparation of management accounts, assisting with forecasts and budgets, full responsibility for payroll, VAT, statutory returns, cost control, margin analysis, and project costing. Cash management and credit risk assessment will also be part of the role and finally a very involved role in the management of department staff.

The successful candidate will have experience of costing, preparing management and statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, and payroll. This role would suit a qualified Accountant looking for a long term role within a long established and successful company. You must be flexible, and have a proven track record in a similar role in a medium sized business with extensive technical accountancy experience and IT literacy.


Warehouse trainees
We are looking for enthusiastic trainees to work in our warehouse. Must be committed, hard working, conscientious and willing to learn. Experience of a warehouse environment would be beneficial.

The general hours of work for trainees are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm and 9.30am to 6pm.


Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week between 7.00am and 9.00pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive, with one hour's break for lunch, to be taken between 12.00 midday and 3.00pm. Evening shift work hours are from 1.30pm - 21.00pm and Saturday work is from 8am to 4pm.


All positions are at our office and warehouse facility in Wimbledon.
