Recently one of the world’s highest profile fashion events returned to the capital for London Fashion Week Men’s autumn-winter 2020 showcase. As a seasoned technical production specialist for fashion, White Light (WL) was appointed by K2 London to deliver lighting, audio, rigging and power distribution for Feng Chen Wang’s catwalk show.
Taking place at Ambika P3, the brief for the catwalk presentation called for a very specific lighting effect. WL’s Senior Account Manager, Dom Yates explains: “Working in an industrial blank-canvas venue, we collaborated closely with Lighting Designer Tupac Matir to achieve something really innovative with the lighting effects, reflecting the show’s ‘Hope of Dawn’ concept. Our team, led by WL Project Manager Tom Cass, built a rig including 65 SGM P5 units and 56 ETC Source 4s. Having recently invested in a significant stock of LED Astera Titan Tubes, we were also able to utilise over 50 of these to line the catwalk. The solution served to heighten the theatricality while also enhancing the photography of the show.”

Kim Carbonari at K2 London adds: “White Light have supported Karla Otto/K2 for many years bringing technical expertise to our varied event productions including fashion shows and luxury presentations. We consider White Light very much part of our core team who deliver excellent results.”
