White Light delivers ETC and ChamSys solution for Hull youth organisation’s new theatre space
Hull, UK – The Warren, Hull’s leading youth organisation, has invested in a new ETC and ChamSys lighting system supplied by White Light (WL), helping transform a newly refurbished theatre space into a professional creative environment where young people can develop skills, build confidence and explore careers in the arts.
Pontio Arts, Bangor University’s Arts Centre, has completed a major upgrade to its theatre and studio lighting systems, marking a decisive shift toward a more sustainable and future focused technical infrastructure. In partnership with White Light (WL), and funded by the Welsh Government through the Arts Council of Wales with match funding by Bangor University, the centre has replaced the majority of its traditional tungsten fixtures with energy efficient LED solutions, supporting lower power consumption, reduced maintenance time, and expanded creative possibilities for artists and visiting companies.
We are proud to support City of London School as it advances its theatrical capabilities with a major investment in energy‑efficient ETC LED fixtures. The upgrade marks a significant step in the school’s ongoing commitment to creative excellence and sustainable practice.
Under the leadership of Drama Technician Joe Oliver, the school’s theatre has transitioned from ageing tungsten filament lanterns, many of which had reached the end of repairable life, to a modern, flexible LED system designed to enhance both learning and performance.
Lichfield Garrick Theatre has taken a bold step toward a greener, more versatile future with the installation of a cutting-edge LED lighting system supplied by White Light (WL). This upgrade marks the most significant technical advancement at the venue in over 20 years, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, creative excellence, and community engagement.
When Technical Manager Adie Barnes joined the Garrick, he quickly identified the need for change. “After taking stock, it was clear we needed to set a new direction and deliver improvements in a positive way,” Adie explains. “Lighting was a priority. Our tungsten rig was over 30 years old, costly to maintain, and increasingly unreliable. With rising energy costs and the challenge of sourcing replacement lamps, LED was the obvious choice for a greener, more sustainable alternative.”
